Les Feldick Bible Study

How many days do most people today want to work?

Most people today do not want to work more than five days a week, and four would be even better. This reveals a widespread reluctance toward work, contrary to the Sabbath commandment that calls for six days of labor before the seventh day of rest.

Les explains that part of the Sabbath command is to work six days, but people today often treat work as a dirty word. He recalls a young man from the East Coast who thought any work was a dirty word and believed you were not an intellectual unless you could get out of doing work. Les notes that many who strongly insist on Sabbath keeping might not be willing to work six days; most people don't want to work more than five, and four would be better. He stresses that we must keep all Scripture, not just the parts we like.
