Did Jesus tell Israel to stop the temple sacrifices after He came?

No, He never instructed Israel to cease temple sacrifices. The temple continued operating throughout His earthly ministry, and no command was given to stop the sacrifices because He had come. Even after His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, Peter and John still went to the temple at the hour of prayer.

Les explains that all during Christ's earthly ministry Israel was under the law, and the temple was operating. He notes that Joseph maintains there were a million animals sacrificed every year at the time of Christ, and nobody told him to stop that. Jesus never told them to stop taking the sacrifices because He had now come. Even after His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, showing the temple rituals continued. Christianity, unlike some religions, has no designated hours of prayer.
