What does the Antichrist do when he sees the Jews fleeing at the midpoint of the tribulation?
When he sees the fleeing Jews at the tribulation's midpoint, the Antichrist, indwelt by Satan, casts water as a flood out of his mouth after them, intending to carry them away or destroy them—just as Pharaoh sent an army after Israel escaping Egypt.
Les teaches that at the midpoint of the tribulation many events converge. The Antichrist comes from his headquarters, which Les suggests may be in Europe, to Jerusalem. At that same moment Satan is cast out of heaven and indwells the Antichrist, controlling him, much as Satan entered Judas. When Satan in the man Antichrist sees the escaping group of Jews—possibly several thousand—he acts like Pharaoh, who sent an army after the Jews escaping Egypt. The serpent, or Antichrist, casts water as a flood out of his mouth after the woman, or these escaping Israelites, to carry her away or destroy her. Yet Les emphasizes these Jews are under God's sovereign, mandated protection; wherever they are protected, they are insulated, and God feeds and protects them through the final three and a half years.
