What will the Antichrist do when he sees multitudes of Jews escaping?
When he gets word that multitudes of Jews are escaping, the Antichrist will send an armed force—perhaps a battalion or regiment—after them to wipe them out. Just as Pharaoh pursued Israel, he will pursue these Jews, but God intervenes and the earth swallows the attacking force.
Les explains that Revelation is speaking in symbolic language. Just as Pharaoh, when he saw Israel escaping, sent an armed force after them, the Antichrist will do the same. As soon as he gets word that multitudes of Jews are escaping, he will send out an armed force, maybe a battalion or a regiment, to simply wipe them out. But God intervenes, even as He did at the Red Sea when He drowned the Egyptians. The earth helps the woman, opens her mouth, and swallows up the flood—this armed force which the dragon cast out by decree to destroy those Jews. Just before that battalion or regiment of tanks, trucks, vehicles, and armed forces catches up with the rear guard of the escaping Jews, the earth opens up in a deep crevice and literally swallows them up. Les notes this is no harder for God than opening the Red Sea and drowning the Egyptians. The Jews go out as if they have wings like an eagle, but as Israel left Egypt, they walked.
