Why was the Exodus out of Egypt miraculous?
The exodus was miraculous because, while the Israelites walked, God supernaturally moved them along, enabling them to cover the distance from Goshen to the Red Sea in an extraordinarily short period of time—beyond what ordinary travel would allow. This was a divine act.
Les explains that there was something about the exodus out of Egypt that had to be miraculous. The people walked, but on the other hand, God must have somehow or other miraculously moved them along to have been able to go all the way out of Goshen down to the Red Sea in such a very short period of time. He compares this to the future flight of Jews from Jerusalem at the midpoint of the Tribulation, when they will suddenly realize that the one they thought they could trust turns out to be their mortal enemy, and they will flee like Israel did on the night of the Passover.
