Who were the Ephesians Paul wrote to and where did they live?

The Ephesians were Gentile believers whom Paul addressed in his letter. They lived in the western end of Asia Minor, the region where Paul had ministered throughout the Book of Acts—an area known today as Turkey. The context identifies them as the recipients of the epistle to the Ephesians.

Les explains that Paul is writing to the Gentile believers in the area in which he had ministered throughout the Book of Acts, there in the western end of Asia Minor, or what we know of today as Turkey. In Ephesians chapter 1, Paul writes to them about redemption in Christ, stating that in Christ we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to His grace. Les notes that God has mandated redemption through the shedding of blood and that it must be accepted by faith.
