What did God say the dogs would do when Israel left Egypt?
God said that against any of the children of Israel, not even a dog would move or bark. While Egypt would experience a great cry, Israel would be untouched, showing the Lord puts a difference between Israel and Egypt and controls even the animal kingdom.
Les teaches from verse 7 that God promised no dog would move against any of the children of Israel. He explains that throughout Scripture God shows He is in control of the wildlife or animal kingdom, and here He would make sure even an Egyptian dog would not bark when Israel was moved out. This contrasts with the great cry coming upon Egypt. Les also connects it to the New Testament, where Jesus told Peter to go to the seashore and find a fish with enough money for their taxes, demonstrating God's control over the fish and animal kingdom. The point is that the Lord puts a difference, constantly reminding Israel they are not like everybody else but are different.
But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
