What part of a person is still waiting to be redeemed or consummated when we enter the eternal state?

When believers enter the eternal state, they will still be body, soul, and spirit. Because the soul and spirit are already totally redeemed and have experienced absolute salvation, the remaining part awaiting consummation is the body. Romans 8 likewise describes believers groaning and waiting for the adoption.

Les explains that when we go into the eternal state, we will have to be body, soul, and spirit. If the soul and spirit are totally redeemed and have experienced absolute salvation, then what is still waiting to be consummated? The body. In Romans chapter 8, verses 22 and 23, the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now, and not only creation but believers also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan within themselves and are waiting for the adoption.
