What kind of house do we have from God?
We have a building of God, not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Unlike the earthly tabernacle or tent that dissolves, this house is permanent and eternal, for the real us that goes on into eternity. It is a dwelling from God, not a human construction.
Les explains that our earthly body is a tabernacle or tent, a temporary dwelling that will dissolve and return to the earth unless the rapture changes it. But believers have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. The real us—mind, will, emotions, personality—is eternal and will dwell in that permanent house.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
