What did Paul do at Troas while waiting for Titus?
Paul waited at Troas for Titus, but had no rest in his spirit because Titus did not arrive. With no way to communicate, he ministered to the people at Troas for a few days, then finally went on his way, not knowing what had happened to Titus.
Les explains that Paul was under pressure from the persecutors at Ephesus and went up to Troas hoping to meet Titus. In 2 Corinthians 2:13, Paul said he had no rest in his spirit because he found not Titus his brother. There was no communication, no way for Titus to tell Paul he could not make it. So after waiting a few days and ministering to the people at Troas, Paul finally had to go on his way, not knowing what had happened to Titus. From there he went up to Philippi in northern Greece, where he became deathly sick and despaired of life itself. Les thinks satanic forces heaped all of that on him.
