What did Paul finally do at Troas when Titus never arrived?

After waiting several days at Troas and ministering to the people there, Paul finally had to go on his way, not knowing what had happened to Titus. He then traveled up to Philippi in northern Greece, where he was later deathly sick and despaired of life.

Les explains that Paul was under pressure from the persecutors at Ephesus and came to Troas hoping to meet Titus. In 2 Corinthians 2:13 Paul says he had no rest in his spirit because he did not find Titus his brother. Since there was no way to communicate, Titus could not tell Paul he had not been able to make it but would. After no doubt waiting a few days and ministering to the people at Troas, Paul finally had to go on his way, not knowing what had happened to Titus. From there he went up to Philippi in northern Greece, and it was probably there that he became so deathly sick that he despaired of life itself and thought his ministry had come to an end. Les suggests satanic forces heaped all of this on him.
