Where is the veil when the Law of Moses is read today?
When the Law of Moses is read today, the veil remains upon their heart. Israel reads the Torah sincerely in synagogue worship, but the veil keeps them from seeing that the Law has come to an end and passed off the scene.
Les teaches that the average Jew in blindness is still tying himself to the Law, and to him the veil is still on Moses’ head. As they read the Law of Moses, or the Torah, that veil which keeps them from seeing that it is all passed off the scene is still there upon their heart. The veil was only to keep Israel from seeing that the Law was fading away and that something better had now come in its place. Paul wrote this around A.D. 60, but Les says it is the same truth for 1997, and he points to Romans 11 for a plainer statement.
But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
