How does the glory of the remaining economy compare to the old economy?

The remaining economy of Grace is far more glorious than the old economy of the Law. Though the Law was glorious, it was done away; Grace remains and is much more glorious. The Law demanded works to merit favor, while Grace provides liberty through Christ's finished work, which God fully satisfied.

Les teaches that the contrast is between two totally different economies under the same God. The old economy was the Law, with its demands—"Thou shalt not, Thou shalt"—and legalism always instructs what one must do to merit favor with God. That economy was glorious but was done away. The remaining economy is Grace, which calls believers to stand in the liberty wherewith Christ has saved us. Les explains that this is far more glorious. He warns that millions shun the Gospel of God's grace, thinking they must work for it, but that is the devil's lie. When Christ died and rose from the dead, God was totally satisfied that this was all we needed, and we can trust it completely.
