Les Feldick Bible Study

Where does the natural knowledge of false teachers come from?

Their natural knowledge comes from the old Adamic side, the fallen sin nature. Scripture calls them brute beasts, no higher in their thinking than the animal world. They speak evil of what they do not know and corrupt themselves in those natural things.

Les teaches that Jude is describing false teachers who hawk an adulterated product. They defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. They speak evil of things they know not, ridiculing the truth of Scripture even though they have never studied it. What they know naturally comes from the old Adamic side, as brute beasts. When much of society lives at the level of animals, that is where these false teachers are coming from. They are no higher in their thinking than the animal world, and in those things they corrupt themselves. They can live at the moral level of an animal and think they are living it up.

Jude 1:10

But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
