What did the Lord reveal to Paul by a vision while he was at Troas?

The Lord revealed by a vision that Paul was to go over into Macedonia, or Greece, and preach the Gospel. Though he had no rest in spirit over Titus, he was obedient to the Lord’s call to cross the Aegean and begin ministry in Macedonia.

Les explains that while Paul was distressed and heartbroken because Titus had not kept his appointment at Choas, it was at that same time the Lord revealed by a vision that Paul was to go over into Macedonia, or Greece, and preach the Gospel. Paul took his leave, went from thence into Macedonia, and was obedient to the Lord’s call despite losing track of Titus and not knowing what had happened to him. Les notes the contrast: Paul was pressed down and suffering, yet always triumphant, because God always causes us to triumph. These are tremendous lessons, showing Paul was human with the same passions, appetites, and feelings, able to get down and yet rejoice.

Acts 16:9
