What did God reveal to the apostle Paul?
God revealed to the apostle Paul the doctrines of grace—the dispensation or administration of God's grace given for Gentile benefit. Unlike Moses, who delivered God's dealings to Israel alone, Paul carried this revelation primarily to the Gentiles, though he normally went to the Jew first and then turned to Gentile audiences.
Les explains that in the Old Testament everything was for Israel's benefit, but this man's apostleship is for our benefit as Gentiles. Paul was given the dispensation or administration of the grace of God, and God revealed to the apostle Paul these doctrines of grace. Paul did not do with it as Moses did toward Israel and Israel alone; rather, Paul took it primarily to the Gentiles. Granted, he went to the Jew first, always going to the synagogue of the Jew to make his opening, and when they rejected it, he went down the street to the Gentiles. So Paul was given the grace of God and gave it to us as Gentiles.
