Why must Israel be in the land in unbelief?
The nation must stay in the land without faith so God can consummate the seven-year tribulation and fulfill prophecy, including the 144,000 from the twelve tribes. If all Jews became believers and the rapture occurred, none would remain to fulfill those prophecies. Jeremiah 31 confirms Israel must continue as a nation.
Les explains that Israel is on its own, yet God watches over them like a hawk to keep them intact as a nation. A young Orthodox Jew told him that if all Jews were evangelized, none would be left to fulfill prophecy. Israel must be in the land in unbelief so God can consummate the seven years of tribulation. If every Jew became a Christian and the rapture took place, no one would remain to fulfill prophecy. Where would the 144,000 come from—12,000 out of each of the twelve tribes? Jeremiah 31 says the sun would fall out of its place if Israel stopped being a nation, and the sun, moon, and stars would cease to shine if Israel ceases to be. So they have to stay there. Paul also says believers must have concern for the carnal or fleshly needs of the Jew, even today, which opposes anti-Semitism.
