What did Israel do despite being instructed by the Old Testament Law and prophets?

Israel, though instructed and taught and nurtured through the Old Testament under the Law and the prophecies, rejected him. Consequently, they were dispersed into the mainstream of humanity from which they were called, placed in spiritual blindness, and made like the Gentile world.

Les explains that the nation of Israel had been instructed, taught, and nurtured through the Old Testament under the Law and the prophecies, yet they rejected him. As a result, they were dispersed back into the main stream of humanity from which they were called. God’s intent was no longer to evangelize them but to put them in a place of spiritual blindness, placing them in the same position as the rest of the Gentile world. About 70 A.D., they lost the Temple, the city, and their homeland, and were dispersed into every nation on earth. Some thirty years before that, Paul was called as the progenitor of the Gospel of Grace and the calling out of a Gentile body of Christ.
