What brings about the Second Coming of Christ?

The close of the final seven-year tribulation brings about the Second Coming. After the Rapture and that prophesied seven years concerning Israel, the tribulation ends, ushering in Christ’s return. At the Second Coming, He will stand with His feet on the Mount of Olives, distinct from the Rapture’s meeting in the air.

Les explains that after the Rapture, when the alive and remaining are caught up to meet the Lord in the air, the final seven years are ushered in. Those seven years are associated only with prophecies concerning Israel and are called the final seven years or the tribulations. The ending of those tribulations will bring about the Second Coming of Christ, when Christ will stand with His feet on the Mount of Olives. Les also contrasts this with the Rapture, using Matthew 24 as the prime example, because the Gospel accounts and Old Testament references to Christ’s coming point to the Second Coming, not the Rapture of the Church. The Rapture was a secret revealed by and to the Apostle Paul.
