What is the difference between the rapture and the second coming regarding where Christ goes?
In the rapture, Christ comes only to the atmosphere, and believers meet Him in the air. In the second coming, His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem. The contrast is between meeting Him in the air versus His feet touching the earth at the Mount of Olives.
Les explains that Paul says Christ is only going to come to the atmosphere, and we meet Him in the air. But in Zechariah 14:4, it says His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is on the east before Jerusalem. So the rapture involves meeting Him in the air, while the second coming involves His feet standing on the Mount of Olives. That is the difference regarding where Christ goes.
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
