Les Feldick Bible Study

Does the Bible teach that one species can cross over into another species?

No. Scripture teaches that everything is confined to its own species, as stated in Genesis. There is no crossing over from one totally different species into another. While hybridization can occur, sowing an apple seed will never produce an orange tree; each seed yields its own body.

Les explains that God gives each seed its own body as it pleases Him, a principle going back to Genesis where everything is confined to its own species. He states there is no crossing over from one totally different species into another. Hybridization is possible, but an apple seed will never produce an orange tree; everything follows its own species. He applies this to flesh: all flesh is not the same—men, beasts, fish, and birds have distinct flesh. He also contrasts celestial and terrestrial bodies and the differing glories of sun, moon, and stars, using this as an illustration of the resurrection of the dead: sown in corruption, raised in power. He then moves to what the Lord Jesus said in His earthly ministry.
