Is there any exception to the Bible's permission to eat meat?
Scripture consistently permits eating meat as part of God’s diet, with no biblical exception forbidding it. The only exception noted is personal: if a doctor advises someone cannot eat meat for health reasons, that individual case differs. For the normal, healthy person, meat is not wrong.
Les teaches that all through Scripture there is absolutely nothing that says we cannot eat meat. The Book says that meat is part of God's diet, and there's nothing wrong with eating meat. He acknowledges some may disagree, but they are arguing with the Book. He notes a possible exception: if your doctor tells you that you are absolutely in a position where you can't eat it, that's different. But for the normal, healthy individual, there's nothing wrong with meat. He also warns against letting someone who is a vegetarian judge you as evil for eating meat, citing Paul's instruction, "let not him who eateth not, judge him who eateth." He connects this to Romans 8, where no one can judge us in anything because the one who died for us is the judge. So the only exception is a personal health restriction, not a biblical prohibition.
