What is at the core of the Christian faith according to Les Feldick?
At the core of the Christian faith is the power of resurrection. It is first seen in salvation, where those dead in trespasses and sins are made spiritually alive, and it also underlies the believer's eternal state. This resurrection power is central to both salvation and future resurrection from the dead.
In this chapter, Les explains that after answering questions from carnal people, Scripture shifts into profound doctrines about our eternal state and the resurrection from the dead. He says that at the very core of our whole Christian belief is this power of resurrection. It appears first in salvation: Ephesians 2 verse 1 says we were dead in trespasses and sins, and He has made us alive spiritually in this life. We were raised from a dead spiritual existence into an existence filled with the Spirit of God, possessing the new divine nature and all that salvation brings. These things were unknown until the writings of the Apostle Paul. So when considering our eternal state, the heart of it all is the resurrection.
