What does the word resurrection not mean?

The word resurrection does not refer to someone who has died and has been brought back to life, such as the widow's son and Lazarus in Christ's earthly ministry. They were not resurrected, they were just simply called back from the dead and they died again.

Les teaches that this whole chapter deals with resurrection, and he stresses that practically no other religion has resurrection as the basis of its beliefs. It is unique to Christianity, at the very core of everything we believe and everything the Bible teaches. This life does not end at the grave; there is a life for eternity, and the only way to enjoy that eternal existence as believers is to experience a Biblical resurrection. He clarifies that the word resurrection does not refer to someone who has died and been brought back to life, such as the widow's son and Lazarus in Christ's earthly ministry. They were not resurrected; they were simply called back from the dead and they died again. Resurrection began with the Lord Jesus Himself. He was the first to ever be resurrected, meaning He died and arose from the dead, never again to die, and it was for all eternity. This is the same eternal life that we experience the moment we have believed the Gospel.
