How can Christian kids find friends who share their values?

Christian kids can find friends who share their values by intentionally seeking out other kids with the same principles and values. Such friends exist and are not alone; it may take some looking, but they will be glad to find someone like-minded. Believers should also pursue fellowship with like-minded believers and not neglect assembling together.

Les teaches that kids in grade school, high school, or college will become like the friends they run with. He encouraged his own children to seek out kids with their own principles and values, reminding them such kids are there, not alone, though it sometimes takes a little looking. When they find each other, both are glad to know they are not alone. He applies this same principle to believers: wherever you go, there are believers who see things as we do, so don't be like Elijah complaining he was the only one left. Neglect not the assembling of yourselves together, because 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns that evil communications—our concourse with people, not just words—will rub off. Verse 34 says, "Awake to righteousness and sin not."
