Who are the thousands ministering to the Ancient of days in Daniel 7:10?
The thousands in Daniel 7:10 are the angelic hosts—millions of angels. A fiery stream issued from before the Ancient of days, and thousands, even millions, of angelic beings ministered unto Him, while ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him.
Les explains that Daniel 7:9-10 presents God the Father on the supreme area of the throne, the Ancient of days, with God the Son coming before Him. The fiery stream issues from before Him, and the thousands are identified as millions of the angelic hosts. Millions ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. Les then notes that the passage leaps to the end of everything at the great white throne, where the judgment was set and the books were opened, and verse 13 shows one like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven to the Ancient of days.
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
