Where do the gathered nations come from and what do they surround?

The gathered nations come from every nation on earth, from the breadth of the earth. Deceived by Satan after the thousand years, they surround the camp of the saints and the beloved city, Jerusalem, gathering to battle against Christ and His throne near Jerusalem.

Les explains that after the thousand-year kingdom, Satan is loosed from his prison and returns to his old domain, planet earth, where Christ has been ruling. Satan goes out to deceive the nations, Gog and Magog, and gathers them together for battle—another battle of Armageddon, so to speak. These nations come from every nation on earth and from the breadth of the earth, and their number is as the sand of the sea. They surround the camp of the saints and the beloved city, Jerusalem, to defeat Christ and His throne near Jerusalem. But God does not delay; fire comes down from God out of heaven and devours them.

Revelation 20:9

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
