What happens to the rest after the believing element are resurrected?

The remaining ones will go to shame and everlasting contempt at the resurrection. Scripture describes this contrast in verse 2: those saved by faith are raised to their position, while the rest face shame and everlasting contempt rather than glory.

Les teaches from verse 2 that after the believing element are resurrected, the rest will go to shame and everlasting contempt. He explains that these Old Testament believers were there in their position as saved people by virtue of their faith. Then verse 3 says they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. Les also notes that the Lord tells Daniel to shut up the words and seal the book even to the time of the end. Daniel was a closed book, but it would be opened at the time of the end, which we are witnessing today. In the end time, many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Daniel 12:2

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
