Why is the nation of Israel so important in God's plan for the world?
God’s plan centers on Israel because He set the national boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel, and everything God has done with the human race revolves around that little nation. At the core of His overall picture is Israel, and He will deal with Israel again after the Body of Christ is removed.
Les explains that when God divided the nations and separated the offspring of Adam, He set the national boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel. He emphasizes that everything God has done with the human race on this planet revolves around that little nation of Israel. Most of the world does not want to believe this, and it is hard to believe how one little nation of just a few million people can be so important in God’s overall picture of the billions of the rest of the world. But, as Les says, it is what God said: at the core of everything is this little nation of Israel. He also notes that the tribulation will be primarily God pouring out His wrath on Christ-rejecting Jews, yet the whole world will come under the effects of the tribulation events. Finally, the Body of Christ has to be taken out of the way now, before God can pick up and deal with Israel.
