How is the Body of Christ the completion of Christ, like Eve was for Adam?

Scripture calls the Church Christ’s Body and His fullness, meaning completion. As Eve was made as Adam’s helpmeet, or compliment, to complete him when he was alone, so the Body of Christ will complete Christ Himself when He finally has it in His presence.

Les explains that the word “fullness” in Ephesians 1:23 means “compliment.” The Church, the Ecclesia, is Christ’s Body, and when Christ will finally have the Body in His presence, He Himself considers Himself complete. Les goes back to Genesis: Adam was alone, naming the animals, and they all had their mate; God said He would make a helpmeet for him. The other word for helpmeet is “compliment” again. So just as Eve was the completion of Adam, the Body of Christ will be the completion of Christ Himself. Ephesians 3:6 further shows that Gentiles are fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ.

Ephesians 1:23

Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Genesis 2:18

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Genesis 2:20

And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
