What did Tyndale mean by wanting the Bible in the hands of every plow boy in England?

The intended meaning was that no one was too uneducated or lowly to possess and read God’s Word. The Bible should not be reserved for scholars, seminarians, or preachers; even an ordinary plow boy in England should have it, study it, and understand God’s manifold wisdom personally.

Les explains that he thinks it was Tyndale who tried to get Bibles from Europe into England so the Word of God would reach every plow boy. Les says this meant there was nobody too uneducated to have the Word of God in his hands. God intends every single believer, not just the seminary-trained or preachers, to study and understand the Scriptures; the common ordinary person in the pew comprises the church and should know the manifold wisdom of God.
