Why did Tyndale want the Bible in the hands of every plow boy in England?

Tyndale, a reformer, wanted every plow boy in England to have a copy of the Scriptures because plow boys had no education, probably only enough to read, yet that was sufficient for the Word of God to feed a hungry heart.

Les explains that old Tyndale, one of the reformers, said he wanted to see a copy of the Scriptures in the hands of every plow boy in England. Plow boys in England had no education, probably only enough to read, but that was sufficient for the Word of God to feed a hungry heart. Les stresses that the Word of God is now available in such a format that anybody can use it, and he prefers putting the Scriptures on the screen so people see what the Book says rather than what any person says.
