Why is Paul's revelation different from what is recorded in the four Gospels?
Paul’s gospel came by revelation of Jesus Christ, not from men, because Christ revealed it to him after the cross was accomplished and after His ascension to Glory. The four Gospels record events before the cross, while Paul received post-resurrection instruction for the whole world—Jew and Gentile.
Les explains that Paul’s revelation is different because Paul explicitly says the gospel he preached was not according to man; he neither received it from man nor was taught it by men, but received it by the revelation of Jesus Christ. At the time of that revelation, Christ is in Heaven and in Glory after His resurrection. Les notes that much preaching and Sunday School material comes from the four Gospels, and there is nothing wrong with it to a degree, but those accounts took place before the work of the cross. Paul, however, is given revelation after the cross is accomplished and after Christ has ascended back to Glory, so he is told what to tell the whole world—not just the Jew, not just the Gentile, but all the world. In Galatians 1:13 Paul also recalls his former manner of life in the Jews’ religion, when he persecuted the assembly of God.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

Why does Paul say the gospel he preached is "not after man" if it was the same gospel Jesus and Peter preached?
Paul deliberately says "the gospel which is preached of me," and that wording identifies his gospel specifically, which raises the question of why he adds "not after man" if he preached the same gospel as Jesus and Peter.
