Why is Paul's gospel different from what is found in the four Gospels?

Paul’s gospel is different because he did not receive it from men or by human teaching; he received it by the revelation of Jesus Christ. This revelation came after the cross was accomplished and Christ had ascended to Glory, whereas the four Gospels record events before the work of the cross.

Les explains that Paul’s gospel was “not after man.” Paul neither received it of man, nor was he taught it by men; instead, he got it by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Les points out that if Paul received everything he preached and wrote from the Lord Jesus Christ, then Christ was in Heaven, in Glory, after His resurrection at the time of that revelation. Much preaching and Sunday School material comes from the four Gospels, and there is nothing wrong with it to a degree, but all that took place before the work of the cross. Paul, however, receives instruction from the Lord Jesus after the cross is accomplished and after He has ascended back to Glory, to tell the whole world—not just the Jew, not just the Gentile, but all the world. Paul also recounts his past in the Jews’ religion, when he persecuted the church, or assembly, of God and wasted it.
