Where did Jesus speak to Ananias from?

Jesus spoke to Ananias from heaven. While Ananias was in Damascus, the Lord Jesus addressed him from heaven, telling him to go because Saul of Tarsus was a chosen vessel to bear His name before the Gentiles. This shows the direction came from heaven.

The Lord told him, “Go thy way, for he, Saul of Tarsus, is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles.” Les notes this is significant because Jesus had not ministered to Gentiles during His earthly ministry, with one or two exceptions, and people struggle to accept that. Here, however, the Lord directs Saul’s mission to the Gentiles from heaven.

Acts 9:15
