What did God announce to Abraham about a separated people?
God announced to Abraham that through this man He would bring out a separated people, that He would deal with them, and that through this people would come a Redeemer of the whole human race. This people would be the channel of God's redemptive plan for all humanity.
Les teaches that as soon as God announced to Abraham that through this man He was going to bring out a separated people, deal with them, and bring a Redeemer of the whole human race through them, Satan immediately went into high gear to thwart God's program. Satan has constantly fought God's dealing with the nation of Israel, whether through their unbelief, attacks from the Gentile world, or the present worldwide opposition to Israel. If Satan could get rid of the Jew and the nation of Israel, God could not perform His prophecies, because all the prophecies rest on Israel.
