What did God promise Abraham about the Redeemer?
God promised Abraham that through the separated people He would bring forth, a Redeemer would come, not for Israel only but for the whole human race. This Redeemer would fulfill God's redemptive plan for all people, as announced when God set apart Abraham's descendants.
Les explains that as soon as God announced to Abraham that through this man He was going to bring out a separated people, and that through this people would come a Redeemer of the whole human race, Satan immediately put everything in high gear to thwart the program of God. Les points to history, showing Satan's constant opposition to God's dealing with Israel, because if Satan could succeed in getting rid of the Jew and the nation of Israel, then God could not perform His prophecies, since all the prophecies rest on Israel.
