Who did Jesus come to bring redemption for?

Jesus came to fulfill God’s purposes by bringing about the plan of redemption, not just for Israel but for the whole human race. He died according to God’s predeterminate counsel, and that redemption covers the whole human race, not just the nation of Israel.

Les teaches that Christ came and fulfilled the purposes of God in bringing about the plan of redemption. As he explains from the context, this redemption was not just for Israel, but for the whole world—the whole human race. Les also points out that when God announced to Abraham that through this separated people a Redeemer of the whole human race would come, Satan immediately moved to thwart God’s program. Satan has constantly fought God’s dealing with the nation of Israel, because if Satan could get rid of the Jew and the nation of Israel, then God could not perform His prophecies, since all the prophecies rest on Israel. The present world opposition to little Israel, pushing them into a smaller area of Jerusalem, is part of that Satanic ploy. Thus the redemption Jesus brought reaches beyond Israel to all people.
