Where do all false religions and cults have their roots?
All false religions, cults, pagan and mythological religions trace their roots to the tower of Babel, where God scattered humanity and confusion began. Every cult on the planet, regardless of name or origin, runs its roots back to Babel. This includes Eastern religions and modern cults.
Les teaches that every pagan, mythological, cultic, and false religion on the planet today has its roots at the tower of Babel. He gives the example of a Japanese cult whose guru went to the Himalayas for so-called enlightenment, found a Buddhist guru, returned to Japan, and began the cult. Going through Buddhism and other Eastern religions, their roots still trace back to Babel. Every cult, pagan religion, and mythological religion that has ever existed runs its roots right back to the tower of Babel. God scattered them there, and Babel means confusion. Later, after another 200 years, God sovereignly pulled Abraham out of the mainstream of humanity and promised him the nation of Israel.
