Is the largest harvest of believers in the Old Testament or the Church Age?

The largest harvest of believers is in the Church Age. The Old Testament economy had relatively few true believers: Israel never exceeded about 10 million people, only a few were believers, and before the flood only eight souls were counted. By contrast, millions have come through the preaching of the Gospel of Grace.

Les explains that, in the illustration, when the wheat farmer harvests the main part of his fields, he can fill bins with thousands and thousands of bushels, while leaving the corners would yield only a small, small fraction. Bringing that into the spiritual realm, Christ in the firstfruits is accomplished. Les teaches that the largest number of people brought into God's harvest is the Church Age, not the Old Testament. In the Old Testament economy, Israel never had more than probably 10 million people at the most, and only a few of them were true believers. Before the flood there were precious few believers; by the flood only eight souls. Throughout Israel's history very few Jews percentage wise were believers. Even in Christ's earthly ministry, the upper room in Acts chapter 1 had only 120 Jewish believers, which is shocking after three years of the Lord's own earthly ministry. This is compared to the millions who have come in through the last 1900 years of the preaching of the Gospel of Grace.
