What would it mean if Christ did not rise from the dead?

If Christ did not rise, there would be no resurrection from the dead, and the believer's hope would be void. We might as well pack up, throw our Bible away, go home, and forget it. But He did rise from the grave.

Les explains that Paul is proving to the Corinthians, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Christ died but arose from the dead. This resurrection is the very hope of every believer. If He did not rise, we might as well pack up, throw our Bible away, go home, and forget it. But Les emphasizes, "Don't you do it, because He did. He arose from the grave." He also shares the example of Josh McDowell, who set out to disprove the resurrection but instead became a born-again believer and spent years proving Christ literally, physically arose from the grave.
