What would have happened if Jesus had not risen from the dead?

If Christ had not been raised, the plan of redemption would never have been complete, and justification could not be proclaimed. His resurrection was necessary for our justification. Because He did rise, He arose victorious over sin, the devil, the flesh, and the world, and we take it by faith.

Les explains that if Christ had not been raised from the dead, then the Apostle Paul could not write about justification, and the plan of redemption would never have been complete. At verse 25, Scripture says Christ was delivered for our offenses and raised again for our justification. But He did rise, and He arose victorious over sin, the devil, the old flesh, and the world around us. Earlier, the same imputation of righteousness is received by believing on Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, which is the gospel: Christ died, was buried, and rose from the dead.

Romans 4:25

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
