How hard is it to enter the plan of salvation?

Entering the plan of salvation is not hard in the sense of reaching some impossible height or crossing a dangerous barrier. The door is at ground level, before every person, and the way is simple: believe and enter in. It is narrow, but salvation comes by doing nothing, as God demands.

Les teaches that the door to the sheepfold is not on a sheer cliff requiring ropes and climbing gear, nor across a roaring river requiring a boat or raft, nor across the ocean requiring wealth to buy a ticket. The plan of salvation’s door is on ground level, in front of every human being, and all they have to do is believe it and enter in. Les notes that it is narrow, but the way in is so simple, and this is where the world misses it: people cannot believe that eternal salvation and the hope of all glory can be had by doing nothing. Yet that is what God demands, as learned in Romans. Abraham did nothing, yet he was justified in the same way as us.
