Who is the head of the family and of the woman?
The man, specifically the husband, is the head of the family and of the woman. This order was ordained by God, and the New Testament affirms it, as the Apostle Paul dealt with the Corinthian church regarding women recognizing the man's headship.
Les teaches that God's curse upon the woman included that her desire would be to her husband and he would rule over her. Les explains this was the way God commanded and ordained it. He points out that all the way up through the Old Testament the woman was, to our way of thinking, almost overly subdued, but nevertheless this is still part of Paul's thinking as he deals with the Corinthian church. The women were to recognize that the man was still the head of the family, he was the head of the woman, and she was to be subdued under those services in the church. So the head of the family and of the woman is the man, the husband.
