How does Les want us to analyze the tongues issue?
Analyze the tongues issue in the spirit of 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter, testing the whole matter in light of what God wants rather than what men want. Do not condemn or look down on those who claim to speak in tongues, but take stock of the practice honestly.
Les teaches that Paul is admonishing the Corinthians to take stock of what they were doing and realize that all that glitters isn't gold. He explains that he is not condemning the folk who claim to have spoken in tongues, and he is not going to look down his nose at them. Instead, he asks everyone, in the spirit of chapter 13, the love chapter, to analyze the whole tongues issue in the light of what God wants, not what men want, especially since we live in an era of instant gratification.
