Where was Peter when tongues happened the next time, and why did he go there?

Peter was in the house of Cornelius, a Gentile Roman, in Acts chapter 10 when the miraculous tongues happened again. God forced him to go there contrary to his own desires, showing a distinct divine purpose: salvation was now going out to the Gentile world.

Les teaches that the next time this miraculous tongues event happens is in Acts chapter 10, where Peter is now up in the house of a Gentile, the Roman, Cornelius. Peter went contrary to his own desires, because God forced him to go up to the house of Cornelius. As Peter enters, he says it is an unlawful thing for a Jew to come into the house of another nation, but God had shown him there was a distinct divine purpose in his coming. As Peter preaches, probably expounding about Jesus of Nazareth and how He had come to be Israel's Messiah, Redeemer, and King, he wonders why he is giving this to Gentiles. He had no idea something was moving in God's purposes, that He was now going to go out to the Gentile world.
