Where did Peter go after the Holy Spirit fell on the Gentiles in Acts 10?

Following the Gentile outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Peter returned to Jerusalem. He did not head out to Syria, Cilicia, Asia Minor, Greece, or Egypt, but went back to Jerusalem. According to the account, he stayed there for a long time instead of launching out to the regions beyond.

Les explains that Acts 10 records a total reversal of the order seen earlier: the Gentiles received the Holy Spirit before they repented or were baptized. Because Acts is a transitional book, moving out of the Judaic system and law toward God dealing with the race in grace, Peter did not head out to Syria, Cilicia, Asia Minor, Greece, or Egypt. He also did not call the other eleven to go to Egypt. After this glorious experience among Gentiles, Peter went back to Jerusalem, and that is where he would stay forever so long.

Acts 11:1

And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
