Was Jesus tempted in every way that we are?
Yes. He was tempted or tested in all points, every point of temptation, just as we are. But where we fall and fail, He did not; He remained without sin. Because He was sinless and perfect, yet tasted every situation we face, believers can come boldly to the throne of grace.
Les teaches that Jesus was in all points, every point of temptation, and was tempted or tested like we are, yet where we fall and fail, He did not; He was without sin. Since He was sinless and perfect but tasted every situation we come up against, there is an invitation to come boldly into the presence of God—into the very throne room at any time of the day or night. Les illustrates this as God's open door policy: we can come into the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. He also raises the question of the points in which He was tested like as we are, directing listeners to 1 John 2:15.
