How do you experience the redemption that is in Christ Jesus?

Les explains that God lost us when Adam fell, so He must redeem us, and He redeems us with blood—the only thing God can use to purchase mankind's redemption. In verse 25, Les points out, Christ Jesus is the one God sent forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood. Les says there is only one way to experience the redemption of verse 24: putting your faith in the blood of Christ. He connects this to the Passover night in Egypt, noting it is the same setting. Just as the Jewish family in Egypt was safe and the death angel could not touch the firstborn because of the blood on the door, so also those who have had the blood of Christ applied cannot be touched. Les then cites Romans 8:37, where Paul says we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us, and Romans 8:38-39, where Paul is persuaded that neither death, life, angels, principalities, powers, things present, things to come, height, depth, nor any other creature can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Les asks why, and answers: we are under the blood. No power on earth or in heaven can take us from under that blood protection. As surely as the Israelites were safe in Egypt, we are safe today—a beautiful security.
