What does it mean to bear one another's burdens in Galatians 6:2?

Bearing one another's burdens means helping fellow believers who are struggling, even those trying to live upright Christian lives. It involves supporting them, helping them overcome weaknesses, and encouraging them that they need not remain Christian failures or live in sin, because they can overcome through good Christian fellowship.

Les explains that Galatians 6:2 follows the instruction to restore a sinning believer in a spirit of meekness, not pride, remembering that we also could be tempted and fall. Bearing one another's burdens means helping even those who are having a hard time living a good, upright Christian life. You bear their burden, help them overcome their weaknesses, and encourage them that there is no need to be a Christian failure or to constantly live in sin. They can overcome it. This, Les says, is the whole idea of good Christian fellowship.

Galatians 6:2
